We always have a selection of cheap sets at rock - bottom prices. (These photos show examples, actual sets shown have been sold.)

Just because we have a lot of quality stock that naturally command high prices don't imagine that we only sell expensive items. Our stock is here to be sold, and if we think something is only worth a few pounds, then it goes for just that. We don't have time to photograph, describe, test and pack a lot of these low value items, so they either go to our regular customers who call in, or they go at swapmeets etc., often at car boot sale prices (or less). We don't specialise in selling components, but before you spend a fortune on rewinding a transformer or cobble up a set by fitting an unsuitable part, remember we may have a complete set with the part you want, maybe with a worm-ridden or cracked case, for the price of a take-away curry.

We have a lot of 1940s/50s sets available which have been restored by a competent enthusiast but are not offered with any guarantee because they are so cheap- (some of them have valves worth more than we are asking for the set). Many work very well but you will appreciate that we are not going to offer a guarantee on a set that is offered at less than half the price we would charge for repairing it.-so please note that for legal reasons:

They are not in any way guaranteed working, restorable, original, or anything else except what they are described as. They should not be connected to a mains electricity supply unless checked and approved by a competent person.

They are really for collection only. As we cannot absorb any carriage or packing charges on these sets, absolute minimum carriage &packing is £23.50 for mainland UK.
