Graves 'Vulcan' 2 valve 1928. This was a popular set by a Sheffield firm, J.G. Graves Ltd, who appeared to sell these nicely made but basic sets quite successfully, possibly by taking liberties with the veracity of their advertising claims. (See period advert). This is a very good clean example, moulded ebonite panel and ebonite 'chassis', basic 2 valve battery set. These usually have a Cossor intervalve transformer, this one has another type but looks original, they may have been sourced from different manufacturers. Nice clean set, a good introduction to the 1920s at a modest price.
