Ekco PB179 1939. Ekco joined in the craze for pre- set push-button tuning with gusto, from the motor tuned models down to these pre-set station models.
This is one of the few bakelite cased sets, and is quite an attractive design. It has a large colour dial with the push buttons to the right, each button controlling a pre-set adjustable tuned circuit.
Comprehensively overhauled and working very well. It has had a lot of work done so may not suit the purist, but a very nice clean usable set. No cracks.
