Zenith Transoceanic 8G005 c.1946. This is one of the earlier examples of this model, of which at present we have three generations. This version uses Loctal type valves, and has fewer bandspread bands. It does incorporate the 'Wave Magnet' aerial, and has a compartment at the front which houses the world SW station charts. It is very original, having even the battery information labels. (It is also of course operational from 110 or 240v mains).

The cabinet does show some signs of wear, mainly scuffing and marking of the rexine covering, but it is generally in very good condition and works well. However, it is probably the rarest of these models and would command a higher price if it was as tidy as the later example.
