Linotone A8L (USA) c. 1940. This set may have an interesting history. It is typical of the 'midget' type of set produced in the USA and imported to the UK in a special deal with the Board Of Trade after the outbreak of war to make up for the lack of home set production. This one still has its original box (maker's name possibly erased as part of the conditions of sale?) There is a label on the carton marked "Otto Lehmann, 1940". I wonder who he was;- Refugee? G.I.? P.O.W.? Whoever he was, his radio has almost certainly outlived him. It is in excellent condition, absolutely original, untested but appears to be made for 240v. (Could restore if required).
